The idea behind Alekhine's gun is to create a battery by stacking two rooks behind each other and the queen at the rear. This formation is called as such, as a tribute to former world chess champion Alexander Alekhine, who used it against Aron Nimzowitsch in 1930. In this design, we capture the essence of Alekhine's gun in a very unique and playful way.
